Do you shoot destination weddings?
I am based in Chicago, but I have a passport and I am ready to travel. My husband and I once cycled across the USA, so be sure that I love to travel and see more of the USA. I am South African and I am always looking for a reason to visit my hometown and see my Mamma and Pappa. My husband is Korean and I also lived there for 4 years, so I call it home. I can order my food in Korean and also tell you to look at the camera 카메라 좀 봐!
How many pictures of our session will we get?
You will get all the BEST pictures of your session.
When you book a wedding you will get between 20-40 pictures per hour.
Will there be a second shooter?
If I shoot a wedding with a large wedding party, then I will always use a second shooter. The bride and groom is my main priority and the second shooter takes care of smaller details.
PS- my second shooter is my favorite person.
Do you recommend doing an Engagement Session if we book you for the wedding?
Your engagement session can be seen as a dress rehearsal and way to get comfortable in front of the camera for your wedding day.
When you book me to photograph your wedding day, then you will get 50% off your engagement session.
How do you manage the prepayment for your work?
I require 50% non-refundable deposit for booking. The rest of the payment needs to be made 2 weeks before the shoot.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
Why not! If it is your wedding day then my whole day is already dedicated to you! Of course we will discuss your wants and needs at our first consultation and determine how many hours you want me to snap away. BUT... weddings are full of surprises and maybe the groom feels like he needs and extra hour for some glamour shots (wink-wink) then let's do it.

Do I have to order prints through you?
No, you do not have to. however, I do recommend that you use a quality print shop.
What does your wedding coverage cost and which services are included?

You will receive all pictures in high resolution in a personal online gallery and print release.
I will not be releasing ANY unedited RAW images.
What kind of gear do you use?
Nikon all the way!
Prime lenses and full frame camera.
I do have a flash, but I prefer good old natural light.
A lot of backup batteries & memory cards.
Do I have to have my makeup and styling done professionally?
If you have a vision, go all out! If you want to print a canvas - think of the colors in your home and try to compliment that. If you need inspiration, contact me with your ideas and vision and we’ll make it work together.
To hire a professional makeup artist will ALWAYS give you "better" results, but make sure it's similar to your everyday look. The more you attend to the details the better your end results.
How long do I have to wait before receiving my photos?
There is actually a lot that goes on behind the scenes. I always try to send a sneak peak a few days after the shoot. To finalize a product can take up to 3/4 weeks, depending on the season. A wedding will take longer, because you will end up with a few hundred pictures. You will receive a sneak peak within a few days after the wedding and the full gallery within 1/2 months, depending on the season.
You will receive an online gallery with full resolution pictures and an app with low resolution pictures. If you would like to add an extra hard copy of the pictures then that can be done.
